Dance Training

With so many varieties of dance available, it would be hard not to find something you would enjoy. Lessons can be private or in a class format and cater to all levels of experience.

Ballet Classes
 Classes available: Tiny tots, Ages 7 to 13 years and Age 14 Plus years

Ballet Mother and Baby Ages 0 to 12months

Ballet Tiny Tots Ages 4 to 7 years

Ballet Tiny Tots is a unique dance class which introduces your Tot new ways to move to music in a fun and constructive way. It will help them to learn more about their own bodies allowing them to grow and develop at their own pace as their confidence builds. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to meet and make new friends, allowing them to interact and express themselves individually. Using a wide range of classical music their artistic and creative ability will soon begin to flourish. Classes promote key skills such as: co-ordination, flexibility, strength, balance, posture and rhythm. Your budding ballet tot is guaranteed a fun packed 30 minutes, taught through creative imagery and role play they will learn  the basis of classical technique which will provide a solid platform for their future.

 

Class attire: Ballet tights, Ballet leotard & and skirt. Ballet Dance shoes, full soles if possible, not split soles.

Open Ballet  Ages 7 – 13 years & 14 years plus

 

 

Studying ballet is one of the most effective and elegant ways of improving posture, grace, flexibility, and strength. A dance discipline that will ensure a dancer has the strong basis for all other disciplines of dance. Classes designed personally on students to ensure every student no matter what level will excell. The Pointe/Pointe Prep class, which may be done in pointe shoes or on demi-pointe, will focus on ankle-strengthening exercises.

 

Class attire: Ballet tights or black opaque tights, Ballet leotard Ballet, Dance shoes

Latin and Ballroom
Musical Theatre

This Musical Theatre Dance class is aimed at Dancers of all levels from all backgrounds and is structured to push each participant to their individual next level.

The idea to specialise in musical theatre that Victoria has experienced herself throughout her professional career. This class prepares students for musical theatre auditions and/or attempt various different styles of choreography which is generally only found in the West End and Broadway.

 

Class attire: all black fitted dance clothing & jazz shoes

Burlesque
 Classes available: 14 plus years only

Burlesque Dance began in the early 1800. Throughout the years Burlesque has taken many forms, Can Can girls, Show girls etc. This made the fashion popular and brought it into the main stream by the 1930’s.

Since the 1990’s Burlesque has risen again due to the popular film “Burlesque”. Classes will include a selection of burlesque traditions such as prop work with, fans, feather bowers and chairs.

 

Class attire: Tight fitted Dance clothes, Latin Dance heels if possible.

Fosse

Learn the style, technique and inspiration behind Bob Fosse’s movement. Classes to include dances from films such as Chicargo, Fosse Fame etc

 

Class attire: all black fitted dance clothing & Jazz shoes

 Classes available: Junior and Senior

Latin & Ballroom Dance has many different styles of dance. Waltz, Fox Trot,  Tango, Argentinean Tango, Pasodoble, Salsa,  Swing, Rock n Roll and Jive. Latin & Ballroom Dance is known as the social dance due to the ability of couple work. Classes will begin with basics within each discipline. All will be learnt and danced in a solo form to begin with.

 

Class attire:  Fitted Dance clothes, Latin Dance heels if possible.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet. Contemporary dancers focus on floorwork, using gravity to pull them down to the floor. This dance genre is often done in bare feet. Contemporary dance is mainly jazz based but can be performed to many different styles of music

 

Class attire: all black fitted dance clothing & bare feet

Strength and Stretch

All Ages

45min to 1hour instructor led sessions on stretch and strengthing excercises. This lesson is ideally suited to not only dancers but any individual who would like to better coordinate their movements and develop their fitness levels. It has the added benefits of relaxation and will speed up recovery time after an injury.

 

Class attire: Comfortable and loose fitting with bare feet
